Why vintage is better

Welcome back!

This has been one of my most worn outfits lately.
Especially when I have a busy day, I’m not going to dress myself up in high heels.

Ironically and in spite of me having this blog, a lot of the time I  really can’t be bothered to dress up.
I’ll just wear a giant sweater with jeans and sneakers like I did on this day.

What I wear depends on my mood 🙂

Now why did do I think vintage is better?

Easy;  the clothes last you longer.

This outfit, not including my shoes, is entirely vintage/ thrifted.

I wear these clothes way more often than my “fast fashion” clothing for sure.
The older I get, the less I buy.
Pretty obvious when you look around on my blog that I wear a lot of the same clothing. Guess what?
I do.
I love reading fashion blogs, but I’m definitely not someone who can wear a completely different outfit every single day.

The reason I love vintage isn’t even because it’s cheaper, a lot of the time its not, although it can be a major bonus.
The thrill for me is going into a store and not knowing what I’ll find.
They switch up the merchandise almost every week, and never carry two of the same item.
That’s the fun part.
When you do find something, pretty much nobody will be walking around in the exact same outfit.

Plus, I always look for high quality items.
I have clothes in my wardrobe that are vintage that I bought last year that have outlasted  fast fashion clothing bought around the same time.

Just goes to show!

If you haven’t already, try looking into buying some high quality vintage clothing next time you go out shopping.
