Last days of summer

If you’re not familiar with Northern European summers, it’s basically a LOT of rain and about three days of intense heat.
Well, moderate heat.

This was one of those heatwave days.

Because I live on the top floor of my building, I like to get out of the house before it starts to get a little too hot.
Thankfully, there are plenty of places to cool off just outside the city.

I really savour days like this, because I know they don’t come around often. Usually by this time I’d be back in school, but I’ve hinted towards wanting to take a gap year for a while.
This year, I’m doing just that.
Sort of.

I don’t like being in one place for too long, especially if I don’t really enjoy being there anyway. This year, I’m taking classes whenever possible, but I’m grabbing every opportunity I get to travel.
When I got the chance to travel in the past, I would have to make it work with my school schedule. My uni is extremely strict when it comes to attendance and would always say no if I asked to take a few days off.
It has caused many arguments with my counselor, and I’ve missed out on a lot of things because of it.

Instead of working around my school schedule, I’m going to plan school around my trips instead.
That will mean I’ll take longer to graduate, but the school system here is pretty lenient and I’ve talked it over with my counsellor a bunch of times in the past.
I enjoy school more if it’s not forced on me, which is what it has felt like for the past few years.

So, I’ll take my camera along and share stuff on here about what I’m up to.
Modelling is something that’s really started to pick up over the summer since I had time off, and I feel like I have to take a chance and really go for it now.
I’ll regret it for sure if I don’t.

With that said, my next stop is Paris at the end of this month.
It’s one of my favourite European cities.
Can’t wait to be back.
